DAY 01:

After arrival to Campbell which is Nestled on the east coast of central Vancouver Island, and long known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and more recently as an adventure and eco-tourism hub, Campbell River is a natural destination choice, in more ways than one Enjoy a free day in Campbell River. After checking in to your hotel for the evening, take some time to explore the town. Discovery Pier is a great evening walk, offering views of the Coast Mountain Range on British Columbia’s mainland. DAY 02:

After breakfast, enjoy a floatplane trip to Glendale Cove and Knight Inlet Lodge Enjoy one of the premier grizzly bear viewing spots in the world, set amidst the dramatic snow-capped peaks of Canada’s rugged coastline. Located 80 kilometres, or 50 air miles, north of Campbell River, British Columbia. Tucked into Glendale Cove 60 kilometres from the mouth of the inlet is Knight Inlet Lodge. Glendale Cove is home to one of the largest concentrations of grizzly (brown) bears in British Columbia. It is not uncommon for there to be up to 50 bears within 10 kilometres of the lodge in the peak fall season, when the salmon are returning to the river. Overnight stay at the Lodge.

After Breskfast-Rest of the day free, continue your stay at the Glendale Cove and Knight Inlet Lodge Overnight at the Lodge and enjoy your grizzly bear viewing activity.

DAY 02: Calgary to Banff

After breakfast, travel through the foothills of the Rockies to the resort town of Banff, in Canada’s first National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy a sightseeing excursion with highlights including a visit to the hoodoos, shaped by centuries of wind; Surprise Corner and Tunnel Mountain Drive, which overlooks Bow Falls. Also, take a ride on a gondola car to the top of Sulphur Mountain. After the excursion, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Overnight stay at Banff.


DAY 03: Banff

After breakfast at your hotel this morning is at leisure. Later this afternoon, take a short excursion to Lake Minnewanka, one of Alberta’s largest bodies of water for a boat cruise. Learn about the natural history and native legends that make this lake a landmark. After your 1.5 hour cruise, continue on the motor coach drive to some animal ‘hotspots’ where you will have excellent opportunities to spot some of Banff’s famous wildlife, including Deer, Sheep, Elk, Coyotes, Bears, and much more! Also included today is admission to the Whyte Museum. Learn more about the people and wildlife that live in Banff National Park and surrounding areas. Overnight stay in hotel at Banff.


DAY 04: Banff to Jasper

After breakfast buffet at your hotel. Travel north along the famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular highways in North America. The excursion to Jasper today tours through Banff and Jasper National Parks with a stop at the Columbia Icefield allowing time for “Glacier Experience.” This excursion onto the Athabasca Glacier allows you to travel in a specially designed Ice Explorer to the middle of the glacier while the driver/guide explains how the glaciers are formed. The ice is 365 meters (1,200 feet) thick – about the height of the Empire State Building. At the icefall below the glacial headwall, take the option of stepping out onto the ice formed from snow that fell 400 years ago. After a unique ice adventure, time is allowed at the Columbia Icefield Centre, to relax over lunch (not included) and visit the newly expanded Parks Canada Interpretive Centre. Leaving the Athabasca Glacier, your camera should be ready to capture the majesty of the Athabasca Falls, prior to arrival into Jasper. Overnight stay at Jasper.

DAY 05: Jasper

After breakfast buffet – Experience Jasper National Park through the travels of the early explorers and view the unspoiled grandeur! A morning excursion will begin along the mighty Athabasca Canadian Heritage River, learning about David Thompson and the valley ecosystem. Travel above Maligne Canyon, with its narrow gorge and limestone walls created by 10,000 years of water flow. Visit a place of mystery and Indian legend as you continue to Medicine Lake, where sometimes it actually disappears! On your adventure, you are sure to see a variety of mountain wildlife. DAY 06: Jasper to Lake Louise

This morning is free to relax and enjoy the scenery after your breakfast. This afternoon, depart Jasper and travel south along the scenic Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. Overnight stay at Lake Louise.


DAY 07: Lake Louise to Kelowna

After breakfast, depart Lake Louise and head into the province of British Columbia. Ascending Roger’s Pass, this route follows the Canadian Pacific rail line all along the way. One of the highlights of the trip is a stop at the Spiral Tunnels. This unique feature is an engineering marvel that loops into the heart of Mount Stephen. A lunch break is made in the alpine town of Revel stoke. Driving further south, the Trans Canada Highway travels past Craigellachie, the site of the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885. This railway system connects Canada from coast to coast. The last a stop today is in the small town of Armstrong before continuing on your journey south into the famed wine region of the Okanagan Valley, through the town of Vernon, home of Silver Star ski area. Kelowna is the overnight destination and is the cosmopolitan and cultural centre of the Okanagan Valley, including five pristine golf courses, white sand beaches, orchards and Big White ski area, in addition to over a dozen local wineries. DAY 08: Kelowna to Vancouver

After a hearty breakfast buffet, the first stop of the day is at a local winery for an exclusive tour and educational wine tasting. Sample a variety of hand-crafted Okanagan wines in this unique and authentic setting, surrounded by the actual vineyards where the fruit is produced on site. Depart the Okanagan Valley on the Coquihalla highway which travels through the interior to the town of Merritt. Then continue your trek on the Coquihalla Highway through the heart of ranching country and back into mountainous territory. Later in the day, a two hour stop at Minter Gardens will feed your body and soothe your senses with a delectable lunch and guided walk through the exquisite gardens. Following lunch, connect with the mighty Fraser River (named after Simon Fraser, a fur trader who explored the area in 1808), a major salmon spawning route. Up to 10 million fish a year travel up to this waterway each fall to the exact stream bed of their birth where they will complete their life cycle by spawning and dying. This act, in turn, will attract and feed many predators such as eagles and bears who depend on this yearly feast to build body fat that will sustain them during the lean winter months ahead. On the last leg of your journey, you’ll find yourself travelling through the lush Fraser delta region and then into downtown Vancouver, for a late afternoon arrival. Overnight stay at Vancouver.


DAY 09: Vancouver to Whistler

After Continental breakfast at your hotel this morning, take a full day tour to Whistler. Enjoy the breathtaking views and scenic stops along the thrilling Sea-To-Sky Highway on the way to Whistler. Feel the mist of the spectacular 335-meter Shannon Falls as you walk to the viewing deck (stop included). Once in Whistler, there is ample time to dine shop, ride a bike or stroll the trails. You have the option to experience the new Peak 2 Peak Gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains (not included). Savour the beautiful views you will experience overlooking Howe Sound on the leisurely ride home. Arrive back into Vancouver in late afternoon. Overnight stay at Vancouver.


DAY 10: Vancouver

After Continental breakfast at your hotel, take a tour of the city and go to Capilano Suspension Bridge. This tour has it all! See Canada Place, Robson Street, Sports Venues, the Library, theatres, Chinatown and historic Gastown! Stops are made in gorgeous Stanley Park on the way to Cleveland Dam and the Capilano Suspension Bridge in the North Shore rainforest. Cross the 450-ft-long bridge over a spectacular canyon to the Treetops Adventure. A highlight of this tour is to browse Granville Island with its public market, shops, eateries and galleries along the water. Arrive back into Vancouver in late afternoon. DAY 11: Departure

After breakfast Check out of your hotel, transfer to the Vancouver International Airport. Return home with sweet holiday memories!!!
