Podgorica is the administrative capital of Montenegro, its cultural and economic center. The town was always on the crossroad of caravans and armies - from the period of Illyrian-Roman wars, it has witnessed Greek travelers, Roman legionnaires, Byzantine messengers, Serbian noblemen, Venetian merchants, Turkish invaders, Montenegrin warriors, Fascist occupiers and Yugoslavian liberators. It was never a big city and today it is very hard to imagine all these centuries and changes as not many of the monuments of any kind are evident at present.

Durmitor National Park sightseeing tour (Duration approx. 5 hrs.)
Region of Durmitor, the beauty and integrity of the rare and authentic work of nature, was declared a national park in 1952. Located in the northwest of Montenegro, the park includes the main massif of Durmitor with canyons of Tara, Draga and Susica and upper canyon valley Komarnica, covering an area of 39000 ha.
All the splendor of natural beauty, landscape and cultural values of Durmitor and Tara, prevailed to the Durmitor National Park included in the list of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, the decision of the International Committee for the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, in Paris in 1980, while Tara and its canyon valley, UNESCO's man and the Biosphere program in 1977 was included in the World's ecological biosphere reserves (area of 32,000 ha).
