South – Mysore, Coorg, Wayanad: 6Nights / 7Days

    Day 01: Bengaluru – Mysore

    Bengaluru to Mysore. On arrival check into the hotel. Later, proceed on a city tour of Mysore. Visit the magnificent Mysore Palace – this Indo-Saracenic palace that blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. Visit the Chamundi Hills – at 1065 meters this beautiful landscape houses the Chamundeshwari Temple at the spot where the demon king was killed. Also, visit the art gallery which houses a fine collection of paintings and musical instruments. In the evening visit the Brindavan Garden and see the spectacular Musical & Dancing fountains. Overnight in Mysore.

    Day 02: Mysore – Coorg (Approx. 3hrs)

    After breakfast proceeds to Coorg – Scotland of India. Drive through lush green valleys, coffee plantations, teak wood forests and majestic mountain ranges to Kushalnagar and visit the Buddhist Golden Temple – the gold-coated Buddhist statues in the monastery are imposing and unique. Visit the Nisargadhama Forest Resort – a 25-acre island formed by river Kaveri with bamboos, teak and sandalwood trees covering it. Today, also see the Abbi falls – nestled amidst private coffee plantations, the Abbi Falls provide a striking contrast to the wooded surroundings. Later arrive into Coorg and check into the hotel. Overnight in Coorg.

    Day 03: Coorg

    After an early breakfast proceeds to Talakaveri – The birthplace of river Kaveri. Located in the Bramhagiri Hills at an altitude of 4000 ft, here visit the Shiva Temple that houses a rare Shivling. The rest of the day is at leisure or you may also visit the various coffee plantations (on your own). Overnight in Coorg.

    Day 04: Coorg

    After breakfast proceeds on a tour of Madikeri – the land of fresh pepper, cardamom and honey. Here visit the Fort – built by Tipu Sultan this fort crowns the whole city. Visit the Omkareshwara temple – built-in 1820, a combination of Catholic, Keralite, Gothic and Islamic styles of architecture. Visit the Raja Seat – the spot from where the kings watched the sunsets. It is considered the most scenic spot in south India. Later proceed to the Dubare elephant camp – here get an insight into the various aspects of elephant history, ecology, and biology. Overnight in Coorg.

    Day 05: Coorg – Wayanad (5hrs)

    After breakfast proceeds to Wayanad, home to exotic legends, ancient mysterious mountain caves, jungle trails, and exotic wildlife. Being traditionally more or less isolated from the rest of Kerala, the region has a distinctive character of its own. On arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight in Wayanad.

    Day 06: Wayanad

    After breakfast proceeds on a sightseeing tour of Wayanad. Visit the Chain Tree – a large Ficus tree bound by a prominent chain is the source of a dramatic local legend. Visit the Neelimala viewpoint – from where you can see the gushing waters of the Meenmutti waterfalls. See the Sultan Battery – a watchtower constructed by Tipu Sultan and the Jain Temple. Also, visit the Edakkal caves. Overnight in Wanayad.

    Day 07: Wayanad – Calicut (Approx. 1 1/2 Hrs)

    After breakfast proceeds to Calicut and returns home with wonderful memories of your holiday with Vacations Exotica.
